I have a P10. I want a solid front end. I'm starting with my control arms, axles, and applicable bushings ASAP. Does anyone have ANY information whatsoever that may be of some use?
Thanks in advance. Stevie B '93 G20:sun: |

I don't think there is specifically anything for the G20 but I'd like a Energy Suspension bushing kit for the front suspension too. Fire them off an e-mail and let them know there is interest.
I just sent them one about the motor mount inserts. |

I just sent one, if any of you other owners want to do the same, actually, PLEASE do the same. That' sthe onlly way to make things like this happen, by showing them there is an interest.
the email address is: [email protected] ask for suspension bushings, motor mounts, and anything else you can think of . . . Stevie B '93 G20:sun: |

Hey Jason,
I just (yesterday) ordered an ES motor mount insert for my rear (cross-member) mount. The one I ordered is a replacement for a classic SE-R. I don't know if it'll work, so I don't want to get my hopes up, but I'm gonna try it. Worse case: I have to send it back, and I cost myself shipping. At least I'll be closer to the truth . . . lol . . . that sounds SOOO dramatic . . . I've heard that the G20 has "one more motor mount" (say THAT 4x's fast!) than the SE-R has . . . I don't know which one is the extra mount . . . do you have any idea what I'm talking about? Stevie B P10 :sun: |

Lots of info for P10s
My 91 G20 5 speed is getting an overhaul. In addition to clutch, flywheel, pulleys, motor mounts... the suspension is getting redone. I am getting AGXs and am doing Energy Suspension where I can. I think the following list is accurate - anyone else done this?
Front Upper Control Arm is OEM only and subject to wear so I am buying a new pair for ~$250. I am also buying stock bump stops and dust boots. Lower Control Arm has a ball joint and two bushings which look to be the same as the SE-Rs so I am getting the Energy Suspension kit 7-31096 for them. For the Sway Bar - Universal Sway Bar Bushings 19mm front non-greasable, smaller bracket (2) 9-5122 and one end of the sway bar end link has grommets so I am trying *Universal Sandwich Bushings/End-link Grommets 1" diameter with hole through middle (1 set) 9-8106. Back Has parallel links (multi-link beam) which is supposed to be sensitive to flex changes so I am not messing with it. If it gets worn, I will buy new links. *Universal Sway Bar Bushings 18mm rear non-greasable, smaller bracket (2) 9-5123 I got the stock parts from www.Parts.com - seems like an easy way to shop. Jim PS - I looked pretty closely at the ES motor mount inserts and they just don't seem to fit. I have heard of others using them but... I got new stock ones and will save my old ones and fill them with castable urethane. |

That's exactly the kind of information I've been looking for.
To answer your question . . . I haven't done it . . . not yet. I have my struts/springs that will be installed, but I haven't found what I've been looking for. For example, I think the stock pieces are too costly, and I'm looking for the Nissan part numbers that reference the same OEM piece that can be found with the Infiniti part numbers. Right now my concentration is on the control arm, and I will find out in a few days whether or not the SE-R motor mount insert for the rear mount will fit the G . . . I'm not going to stop there . . . even if the mount from an SE-R isn't the same, there's something in the Nissan stable that matches . . . could be an Axxess, or a Pulsar, even a Stanza for all I care, but I want to find it. Sounds like your forming a solid suspension . . . what're your goals? |
