Aoshima R35 GTR

Built this one a while back, the review just now showed up in Scale Auto.

It's a decent kit, but honestly Fujimi & Tamiya both did a better job. The tires are small, the body proportions aren't as good as the others. Slightly tricky fit to the facia/hood, needed a few tweaks to fit right. It looks great finished, and if it's not directly compared to the others. It's also significantly less expensive than the Tamiya kit.

Clean and smart as always

I am not very knowledgeable about this car but the wheels do seem a bit on the small side..

Re: Aoshima R35 GTR

Your review makes this kit seem like a good donor kit for GTR accents on a custom kit bash of, say, an S chassis or something of the sort.

Re: Aoshima R35 GTR

Great build despite the flaws of the kit. Paint is very smooth and you picked out the details nicely. One thing, though: the center support of the wig seems to be hanging in free air??

I love it Bob!! I just got the Fujimi kit with the engine and I have to say that Fujimi scored a home run with it! You've done a great job with the Aoshima kit!
