2001 LS security lite

Security lite comes on after diving for about 5 to 10 minutes, never timed it. Lite stays on until you turn off the car. Never has come on during starting. Car has remote starter. Any idea whats causing this?

Re: 2001 LS security lite

You should have Passkey II VATS so to start try cleaning the resistor pellet on the ignition key. Also, you can try the key relearn. Key in ignition to ON for at least 10 minutes and then ignition OFF for up to 30 minutes. Repeat if necessary.
