Need A New Cd Player
I have a 2000 3 series, have had nothing but problems with the cd player but havent had the money to replace it, it plays some cd's but not all so i can handle it for now.... unitll the other day, my 2 year old nephew was in my car and thought the cd player was a piggy bank and decided to but all of my coins into it.... now no cd's will play.... just my luck.... Any way I will replace it next week... I dont want to cut my dash to make another one fit, is there any particular brand that would fit better than others?

Is it a CD head unit or a CD stacker/changer you are talking about?
I think the factory CD changers, are specific to your car stereo, so might have to fit the same again. If it is the head unit, different story, you should be able to fit anything you like. the hole size is normally a standard size. Just a note:- If you get a non-standard head unit fitted, make sure they hook up the wire to power the radio antenna amplifier. Cheers, Rossco 1996 E36 320i |

I have heard that the Blaupunkt Heidelberg will pop right in with no effort, and can be had for around $160 on Ebay.
