Question What was it?

Your first car?

What year and model? What mods did you do, if any? How long did it last?

My first car was an 1982 Buick Skyhawk, no mods and it only lasted 38,000 miles. Thing was a piece of crap, it stayed in the shop more than I drove it. It had a 4cyl that set sideways under the hood, so damn near anytime anything went wrong with it, they had to pull the engine.
My second car was a 1989 Chrysler LeBaron, it was a piece of crap as well and it lasted to 58, 000 miles, the last 8,000 was because of the repairs I'd done to keep it running. After this I made a promise to myself that I'd never buy American cars again.

So my next car was an 1993 Altima, when they first came out, I loved that car, lasted forever only I traded after I drove it to a newer improved version came out. Then I bought another one in 96 after that I bought the Max brand new in 2k.

my first car 94 my chevy beretta, that I got in High school, it was the one with the 3.1 liter engine. It was light and had quick takeoff and it had decent top end power as well. I had intake, exaust, ported heads, and custom made downpipe and high flow converter. That thing was quick as hell and I loved it, but the transmission went out twice, its in the shop now as a matter of fact. Right now that thing has like 160.000 miles on her

Ancient for a chevy!!!

1990 Toyota Camry wagon, with a 4 cylinder. Man, that thing was slow, but it sure was bulletproof. Besides regular maintenance, probably only had the thing in 2 or 3 times in 145,000 miles of driving.

my first car was a 1989 chevy cavalier. that thing was a hunk o' shit.

a month after i got it the heater core went, then the shocks and springs, then the head gasket, then the starter, then the brakes, then the radiator, then the reserve tank, then the radiator again, then after the doors rusted enough the mechanizim for the roll up windows went and feel out of the bottom of the door, not to mention all the leaks that it had, most of the time i drove in a puddle of water!

plus the paint was pretty much gone. but, it had really cool head lights

Then i laid eyes on the max. i saved 5k and bought it. 94 forest green maxima with tan leather interior, 1 yr bumper to bumper warrenty and came with a performance muffler. everything that counts was perfect.

its good to drive the max

My first car was an '85 Potiac Bonneville my parents gave to me with the words "If you can make it run, you cqan have it". The one redeeming factor of this car was that it had a Chevy 5.0L V-8 engine in it and everyone knows everything about Chevy V-8 engines. And so began my love affair with cars. I hollowed out the catalytic converter, put a glasspack on that baby, had the body repainted, added a stereo and some subs, some tint, refinished the stock steelies so they looked a little better, put in a Neon. Basicly, I riced out a G-body, but it had a V-8 to go with it, so it was all good.

Next car, '90 Nissan Sentra. I have to say one thing about this base model 4-speed. Nissan makes a bullet proof little car. I abused the hell out of that thing and it still ran good enough at 186,000 miles to give to my friend who didn't have a car at all, who still has it, and yes it still runs fine. Go Nissan! Before I gave it to my friend, I put a Home Depot 3" PVC pipe intake on it with a K&N, that was fun.

I got rid of the Sentra when my dad gave me his "old" car, a 1997 Maxima GLE... Very happy now.:smoker2:
