AW11 MR2 100% finished pics
Finally here it is in its finished state. The lighting was too harsh and doesn't show off the paint well. It's actually a lot shinier than it appears in the pic where it looks dusty. The shine shows better in the pic I posted in the progress thread. Overall, this is a typical old Fujimi kit... gave some problems fitting the front suspension. Parts were ill fitting, that's why the front wheels are cambered. The pop up lights were also a bitch to get right. The tail lights were molded too thick and bulge out in a most unsightly manner. The rear signal cluster is molded on to the chassis and needs to be hand painted... that didn't come out too well.
Mods to this kit include opening up all vents, custom intake on the front bumper, detailed engine bay. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() some family photos ![]() the red devil now sports a new improved GT wing stay

Looks great! I've always been a fan of the AW11.
Is that background real? |

Syndicate: yeah the background is real. I live in a uni hostel by a lake. Canberra is a very scenic place albeit rather quiet *crickets chirping*

nice job dude! IMO i think the rims would look better if you blackwashed 'em.. they look too bright. in other words too "plasticky"
.....asides from that top job!

yeah dude! you need an MR-S kit to complete the family! anyways, always been a fan of AW11 and other old school jap cars. your's looks top! the paint looks superb, and from what i saw of the engine in the progress thread, it looks awesome too. also love the old school wheels, Watanabes! my S13 Silvia had the same Fujimi problem with the front suspension, the front edges of the front wheels point slightly inwards towards each other (toe). but nothing TERRIBLY noticable. i'm frightened of doing the flip up lights on my Supra...don't want to mess up!

Nice to see this sucker done! It looks great! I always liked MR-2's, and was considering purchasing the newer model, yours in red which matches my Supra!

i also followed this from the beginning, great job. you can see the reflection in the first pic, so you can assume there is a nice shine to it. i would love to see you do an mr-s.
