I just bought an AW11 MR2

I got the above mentioned kit today from the local hobby store. It's by Fujimi, with quite a bit of mold lines and flash on the body, but it's well detailed and crisply molded. The characteristic sharp angles are well reproduced. It does come with engine detail, albeit very simplified. The bottom half of the engine is molded into the chassis while there are all of six parts to make the top end. There is a top mounted intercooler so Fuj gets brownie points for that. (They also get AUD 39.95 formerly belonging to me.) There isn't much detail for suspension and brakes... there are NO brake discs.. hey NO BRAKES.. this is the kit for you. Fujimi did however include some metal piping for the exhausts which is a nice touch, but the ones in my kit are broken. I'll just use some of my own aluminum piping. There are parts for the opening lights and the rims included resemble those on the Initial D AE86 and are molded in a dark grey. Oh yeah.. it's the one with the red box art. Let me know if there's any other questions.

*Edit* it seems the kit I got my hands on is FUJ04004 which is out of production and quite rare

:o Very lucky find, I prefer the AW11 to the SW20 myself! I also have a Fujimi kit with no brakes, except it's a race car so I'll be lashing some Brembo brakes onto it

I'm gonna let you walk away with that comment...

...for now.............but i'll be watching you j/k

it really sucks that this big manufacter puts in the market models without this essencials parts. I've got the 5 serie BMW Schnitzer from Fujimi and it's also missing the brake disks. seems that i'm gonna have to put some aftermarket ones (God bless aftermarket parts).

hope your kit turn out just fine

Cheers everyone

Cool to know they do have [simplified] engines. Does yours also include the pop-up headlight parts?

What do you have planned for it?
