Porsche 910 Nürburgring 67 'winner - Tamiya 1/12

Late last year I bought my first car model in 1 / 12 scale. This is a Porsche 910 Nürburgring 67 'winner - Tamiya 1/12.

This model in 1967-68 had a lot of success at the World Sportscar Championship Manufactures,

I started collecting photos of the Porsche and bought some extras.

Finally could not stand it and began construction in early March.

I started the engine and gearbox.

This is the gearbox and an element which supports the exhaust pipes in real 910

and tamiya

and my work

enclosure gearbox is not made at exactly

and there are no screws connecting the motor with gearbox

So I did it

I decided to add a metal screw

also added a few more special features

this is transmission with the engine block and sport oil filter and starter

oil filter by Tamiya looks like that

and real

I decided to do it more realistic

a few corrections and will be good

This is T2M (Tuner Model Manufactory) screw has a diameter 0,7mm (T2M-3007) and a nut on the key dimension 1mm (T2M-4005), 1mm with flange (T2M-4003) or 1,1mm with flande (T2M-4004).

The work you are putting in the gearbox and engine is amazing. I like your work very much. Your idea of using threaded nuts and bolts is great, I think I'm going to use your idea because it looks so real. I hardly can't wait on more progress on this build.

Count me in as a fan of this one! That gearbox looks great - really crisp and fresh. Hey, it's a Porsche!

I have never been a fan of this Porsche but this thread is super. this engine/gearbox is being held together with nuts and bolts and not cement.

Re: Porsche 910 Nürburgring 67 'winner - Tamiya 1/12

Looking utterly brilliant at the moment! Are you going to use the kit decals? I've got the decals to do the silver Martini scheme which looks great, but I think the original Martini car ran the flat-8. Saw the Gunnar replica at the Le Mans Classic (with the flat-6) - it does look very cool! Also have an older second kit with a broken roof. Been tempted to roof chop it and make it into the Gerhard Mitter 910 Bergspyder! Have a look for it on the internet ...it looks nuts!
