Damn underbody bulb broke again!

Ok. My front underbody neon has broken for the 2nd time now from bumps in the parking space from tree roots. Yeah I should be more careful, I know, but my car isn't even lowered, and it will be in the next 3 months. What can I do to keep the glow, but avoid the breakage? I was thinking of putting it up in the lower grill area with just the glow showing, and not the bulb itself. That's the only thing I can think of to protect it and sitll keep it. Damn civics are all flat on the bottom and there is no space to put in underbody neons. Lemme hear your opinions or solutions.
