OBD Scan Tool and Oxygen Sensor Location

I would like to recommend a OBDII Scan tool I recently purchased.

I have been able to use it twice now to figure out why that pesky Check Engine light keeps coming on. And, turn the silly thing off. I'm getting a P0136 code which seems to be Oxygen Sensor #2. My Chiltons Manual does not tell me where this little bugger is located at. Is it the one screwed into the exhaust system?

I looked and looked for a reasonably priced scan tool but they are all pretty expensive. And if I figured if I was going to shell out the bucks for one it had better do all my vehicles and not just the G20.

I finally stumbled across the solution. You do, however, need a computer (or Palm Pilot) to use it. It comes as two pieces; the software, and an interface box with one end that plugs into the car and the other end plugs into the computers serial port.

It has a lot of nice features besides reading and clearing the trouble codes. You can read and log live data as you are running the engine (or driving if you have a laptop).

For $110 you can be all setup for imports. I opted for the $140 package which covers ALL vehicles. I figure it will pay for itself the first or second time I use it to solve my own problem. Check it out yourself.

I am not affiliated with the company in anyway. Just a satisfied customer.

Following info was provided by FlossinPrimera to an earlier post of mine:

OBD I is for G20s up through the 1993.5 model year, the 94+ G20s are OBD II
