Bank 2 Sensor 1 Oxygen Sensor location and removal

Hi,

I have a 96 Aurora that displays the SES light when it gets wet after a good rainstorm. I took it to Autozone and the error codes pointed to the oxygen sensor located a Bank 2 Sensor 1. I can see the O2 sensors on the catalytic converter and one underneath the engine (on the driver side), but I cannot find the 4th sensor. I have searched the forum, but have not found a good description of how to get to this oxygen sensor. Please help!

Re: Bank 2 Sensor 1 Oxygen Sensor location and removal

i dont remember where that one is located. possible on the back exhaust manifold. stand on the passenger side of the car and looking at the engine the exhaust manifold to your left has an 02 sensor. probably need to be underneath the car to get to it. there will be another on the other manifold (closer to the radiator). if you havent found out which bank is 2, let me know and i can check the service manual.

Re: Bank 2 Sensor 1 Oxygen Sensor location and removal

could be lotsa things (assuming no check engine liight) -
sticky EGR valve
vacuum leak (check pcv valve and tubes and replace pcv valve)
fuel pressure regulator maybe if it cranks a long time to start (cold)
plugs and wires

with more specifics/symptoms you may get better diagnostics

Additionally - you would have done better to start a new thread for this topic
