Thumbs up Ferrari F40GT Monte Shell Scale Production Transkit

Hi,

just want to inform you, that Scale Production will offer a transkit for the Tamiya Ferrari F40 Competizione Monte Shell kit (look here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=493854 ) probably in January 2006.

There will be a new resin body, removable hood to show up the engine compartment like the Tamiya kit, wheels, decals, additional parts for the engine, etc.

Here some pics of the master model

The model can be built as a Ferrari F40 IGOL/PILOT in LeMans 1996, decals look like this:

The body looks like it was molded quite well, I might have to get one

Cool, love the blue Pilot livery. But don't MSM Creation already make a transkit for this car? Or is that a different version?

Nice, but I'll get the Tamiya version, meaning I stand more of a chance to build one..

Still, I'm sure many will enjoy this one..!! Decals look nice.

Haven't they offered this transkit for a long time already?

This one is a F40GTE, MSM transkit is F40LM. Rear wing is the easiest way to spot the different models.

I hope the price of this is "right", S27 F40GTE kits are too expensive for the amount of detail on those kits.

Hi,

just to answer some of your questions (as far as possible):

- the MSM Creation kit was a model of the 1995 car and no GTE

- Renaissane long ago announced a transkit for the Fujimi LM kit, but as the Fujimi (base-kit) isnīt produced any more, I donīt know if their transkit will be available ever

- as nniemi already mentioned: The finished model can be compared to the Studio27 F40GTE kits, however Tamiya kit plus Scale Production transkit will be cheaper and have more details than a mere resin kit, f.e. you can open the engine cover to have a look at all details in the engine compartment.
