WIP Hasegawa IMSA Toyota
This is the Hasegawa 1:24th All American Racing Toyota 88C GTP released in 1989 and has never seen the light of day since. This is a work in progress (due to the upcoming SRC PE sheet release). The paint is Tamiya TS26 Pure White over Tamiya primer. The age of the decals made them quit brittle and a little yellowed. I replaced the non-caliper supplied brakes with self cast copies from a Tamiya kit.
I hope y'all enjoy the pics and thanks for looking! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks!

Hi,
nice model, great finish (smooth and deep colour). To give the panels some more accents, you should run some thinned black colour in the deep areas between the panels. Micha |

Re: WIP Hasegawa IMSA Toyota
another great model in the making from a flown era...
It's very goodlooking, I ve never heard of the real car , but it's really stylish, way cooler then most of the newer LM contestants... Oli |

Re: WIP Hasegawa IMSA Toyota
Really clean build. Are the rims painted, machined, or something else? I have the TakaQ liveryied version of this same chassis. One day I'll get around to building it.

Re: WIP Hasegawa IMSA Toyota
Great stuff, I built a Hasegawa 88C not long ago, it's a good kit.

Looks good.
The centerlocks should be red on one side and blue on the other... I forget which?!?!? I've got another (the ND car?) if anyone needs one. I always thought a street car version would be cool... Maybe the Supra 2020... lol

IMSA Goodness. Too bad there was no kit of the later AAR Toyota Eagles which, together with the Nissan GTP's and TWR Jags absolutely dominated the GTP category.

Re: WIP Hasegawa IMSA Toyota
That Hasegawa kit looks to be a beauty and you've done a great job with it thus far Bill.
Great pics too, my favourite is the backlit photo, really cool effect. |

I tried that, but the black was almost too shocking of a color. I think I'm going to try various shades of grey until I find something I'm happy with. Thanks for the tip! Bill
