Flocking (sheets?)
I'm looking to flock the interior of a large scale car (1/16th) and I'm trying to figure out what will work best for me. I know of the flocking that comes in small viles, but I have a large area to cover not to mention the fact I'm not too good with the bottled stuff. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find flocking sheets, preferably adhesive. I'm going to Wal-Mart tomorrow to see if I can find the felt that another member used but I'd like to know if maybe there's something model specific. I know my Dragon BMW M3 came with a small sheet of it, but that is the only 1/24 car I have ever come across that had it. Any recommendations?

I suppose you could try moleskin, but your color choice would be a bit limited. Find it with first aid supplies.

Detail Master used to sell sheets of flocked paper, I don't know if they still do. It came plain white and you painted it to suit. It works well on large areas with gentle curves and flat areas too. I've seen suede like paper at craft stores, but not in many colors.

I picked up some felt sheets from Michaels (craft store) for about $0.88 each; I also got some pre-adhesive backed felt for about $1.50 for about 8 1/2 by 11 sheet, worked really well on the true street mustang:
![]() Not a very good pic of it, but I think you can see...? It's good stuff. It also comes in about 30 colors. |

Re: Flocking (sheets?)
Thanks for the help guys, I checked out the felt from Wal-Mart and it's not really what I'm after for this application. Those sheets from MediaMix hobby should work even though they're a bit small. I ordered some of those Hoppin-Hydros sheets too, I figure I can make one of them work!

Re: Flocking (sheets?)
one thing I use as a flocking option is woodland scenics fine grass. apply it like flocking and paint it whatever color you want. I know it isn't what youare asking, just thought I'd throw that out there as an option, it is also alot less expensive than the flocking.
