1995 honda accord lx. my rpm needle starts to drop and rise rapidly while car is not moving. it goes crazy while on the highway and car starts to pull back and forth. anyone had this problem?

My 95 ex does something similar. When I am driving around it goes up for no reason and no idiot lights come on. Any help.

first off....check for any vacuum leaks. secondly....make sure there's no air in your cooling system. air in the cooling system could also cause the symptoms you have.

Check the vacuum lines. Some may be damaged or clogged. Also check your PCV Valve. And if your plugs & wires are old, it wouldn't hurt to change them also

how do you check for air in the cooling unit? what do we do if air is trapped in the cooling system. is there any way i can flush it out?

I don't have any surging, but when I'm in 4th gear on the highway. Sometimes it sticks at like 3000-3500 then it gets up to 4000 then we i let off the gas it sticks at 4000 for a while unless i tap it. No problem, just bugs me sometimes.

clean the fast idle valve just did it to mine today and it's gone it is to the right of the ecu on the front of the intake.. take off and open top take everything out of it and scub it real good and put back together and back on the car and it's gone!!
