Exclamation 2000 rpm goes up and down while slowing down.

When slowing down mostly from higher speeds my rpms go down like normal till the point it should down shift then goes back up 2 2000 or so and back down a few times before down shifting. what could it be? trany or motor? i was told the valves were worn but i have also been told a few other things to. help!runaround

it sounds like a TCC solenoid that is not completely disengaging.

When I stomp on the gas it also wont up shift unless i let off the gas then it shifts. If I am under normal accel it shifts fine, could that be part of the same problem with that part?

yes, that is a common symptom of a sticking TCC solenoid. You can try putting some Lucas or Trans-X trans treatment in and see if it helps, but don't hold your breath.
