92 tail on 91

Can I fit accord 92 tail lights on my 91?

I think you have to change the trunk along with the lights to do it. I know some people did this, because for a while they didn't have full clear tail lights for the 90-91 accords.

But when you change for new red/clear or whatever, you really think the support of the trunk cover doesn't fit?

Actually you cant just put 92 tail lights onto a 91. 90 and 91 tail lights are longer than 92 and 93 you would have to do some modification to the trunk or shave part of it to be able to do that. if you look at a 91's tail lights and a 92's you will notice the 92's are shorter they dont go all the way to the license plate but the 91's do.

ya, they wont fit at all, becaue the 92-93's are rounded at the ends and the 90-91s are longer and have that angle goin in towards plate... what kind were you looking for anyway? i can sell you some 90-91 halo altezza's... i have had them on for a month, practically new, perfect shape... e-mail me if interested, [email protected]

92-93 coupes have the curved lenses:



these are different from the 92-93 sedans. i haven't been able to track down any altezzas for 92-93 coupes.

90-91 sedans and coupes have the sharp angled lenses which are different from both the 92-93 coupe and the 92-93 sedan:

If you really wanna do this all you need to do is either buy a trunk lid from a 92 up accord or get that bracket that the 92 sedan has and drill it into your trunk. If seen a few 91's with this mod.

i saw some 92-93 coupe altezzas and ebay. im pretty sure you can get them from matrix also.

Does anybody know if you could actually put a 92 or 93 trunk on a 90 or 91? Are they the same size and everything? that way i could get some crystal red taillights for my 90 since they dont make em for that year.

Yes, you can swap trunklids. It is very easy.
However, I have heard that it's difficult to swap the lock assembly. You may have to carry a different key for the trunk, or only use the remote release.

There are nothing different about the coupe tail lights than the 4 door.

No those tail lights will not fit on that car because that car is a 90 or 91 accord and those lights are for a 92 or 93 accord. Like i said before the 90-91 accord tail lights go all the way to the license plate while the 92 or 93 dont.
