I think this would have been better as a poll instead of having to do the reading. But anywayz, for looks IS300. For all out power, Maxima.

IS300. Much better looks (IMO), better "name" and better looks. Performance (I'm assuming) must be reasonably close, and I think they'd be equally fine modifying, so the IS is my choice.

Enzo, if you want to stay a mod on AF, watchout on how you answer to these kinds of comparisons - nissan vs. anyone else

just kidding

But I'd definately take the Maxima, because it's Nissan

I hate Toyota because they're Nissan's arch-rival, especially in Japan. And looks like Toyota is doing much better than Nissan, so maybe it's time for me to switch sides [never.]

Just for the name and look the LEX but for power the Max i think that the lex runs 7.3 0-60 and the max 6.7 0-60 both are nice cars but if i had to pick one it would be reallly hard considering i test drove the a 20th annerversary edt max and let me tell you its bad ass . now as for the other line up Skyline vs Supra .....well i would have to go with the Skyline just b/c its bad ass

Skyline Vs. Supra... I still stay Supra. Why? Well, you can easily get equal hp numbers, so that argument is irrelevant. So it comes down to looks and the awd vs rwd argument.

I like RWD...makes me feel like a man (damn this womanly paseo), and the looks of the supra are far better...IMO (please...don't kill me!).

My only hang up with the IS is that right now there is not stick available! I need a manual! But, I could wait a few months

Thumbs up

Only Igor has the right answer . . . sorry for the rest of you who have such high aspirations for the Altezza by another name . . .

I will admit, I love the Altezza/IS300 for looks . . . but all things being equal, the Nissan Maxima will have to stand as the superior. It's the natural order of things.

Besides that, let's do a minor comparison . . . the IS boast an inline 6 posting 215 HP whereas the Max brings a V6 to the table with a whopping 232 HP . . .

We all know that Nissan engineering brings about the most lethal powerplants . . . plus in this situation the Nissan already has a 17 HP advantage . . . even if both cars had the same horsepower rating, understand that the VQ30DE has been one of the 10 best V6 engines every year since its introduction . . . that's nothing to sneeze at . . .

Lastly Nissan power delivery is unlike any other this side of the Autobahn . . .

Nuff said.
