I joined this forum originally for my '96 GMC Sierra (getting into 4-wheeling), but I also have a built '72 Firebird. I recently yanked the RAIII (not original, of course) and overhauled it; the old girl is running really nice. Any other 'Bird owners out there?

Re: Welcome Pontiac muscle car fans!
I have a 1975 Trans Am. The guy I bought it from though put a 71 front end on it. He also ripped the 400 out and put a 301 in place. I don't know why he did that. My car did have the flames on it like you see by my name. But I repainted them silver. I just got that scratch remover and put it on my flames. The black part of the car will be repainted blue. The car doesn't run which sucks. It needs a new starter and it has a oil leak.

I just recently joined automotive forums and i own a 1979 firebird esprit red bird. Right now im in the middle of painting the engine and putting it back together and getting it ready to roll on the road. I bought it for only 1k and got some weld wheels with em. the only reason i got it cheap was that the owner dropped a wingnut from the air cleaner down in the carbeurator and started the engine up.....tsk....but im happy....more recent pics coming soon but for now http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/465549

Re: Welcome Pontiac muscle car fans!
I have a 73 formula with a 400. I got it for 460.00 Original price was 500 but I brought it down. It came without a tranny but luckily I got my hands on a turbo 350 for 100.00 Right now I'm restoring it.

Re: Welcome Pontiac muscle car fans!
Hi Jim L!
I didn't know you were on here. Good to see that you get around. Also sorry to leave you hangin'... (Haven't had time to check my posts here). The car... Well, you sure didn't see it at a show, cruise, strip, or Norwalk The good news is that the body is slowly getting taken care of. Maybe another year before it's "done" though. If I never hand-sand anything again, I will be quite content! See you on PSP! |
