Question Where is my boost ?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if someone could give me some advice on something. I have a '93 R33 GTS-T Skyline that is only boosting at about 5-6psi. I am getting an Apexi AVCR Boost Controller, but I want to know what could be causing the low boost. My understanding is that a stock GTS-T should boost at around 8psi. If I install a boost controller, is it going to have the same problem of a lower boost ?!

Re: Where is my boost ?

you may have vacuum leaks, not a boost problem.
or your wastegate is weak...
a boost controller will only mask the problem.
fix it first, then get a controller.

It can depend on the weather. I notice mine vary by a couple pounds depending on the weather.

If your is bog standard that is pretty much about normal. The factory guages almost never read correct, they are close. They also do not read in psi.

You should see around 8psi with the exhaust done and a good free flow panel filter or decent pod setup.
