Does anyone know of an upgrade clutch for the Xterra. I've also heard that the transmission and clutch is the same as the older Pathfinders, any truth to this?
Also, Centerforce makes a clutch disk and cover for the Pathfinder and Hardbody but no Frontier and Xterra? Can anyone help, Snoopy needs a new clutch? |

Spencer Low Racing sells the Centerforce Dual-Friction clutch for the Xterra & Frontier (http://www.spencerlowracing.com/driveline.htm) for $450.

Copied and pasted from the VOY board ...
I replaced my clutch with the stock Nissan one after looking at the Centerforce clutch (they do have one that fits the X). The Centerforce clutch is pretty much for desert racing - it offers more gripping at high RPM's, but nothing extra through the whole powerband ... and it comes with no warranty for about $300 more than the stock clutch. The stock Nissan clutch has a 12 month / 12K miles warranty. Easy choice for me ...

I'd stay away from the Centerforce clutch. I have no experience with them, but I've heard the springs are prone to pop out of the disc.

Thank you very much for all the information. It looks like the factory clutch will have to do for now. I hope to be back on the trail by the weekend!
