Hey all- I recently bought a 92 SE (auto). It's a great car except it's really lacking power in the intial acceleration. I floor it, and it takes its time to get moving, but once the RPMs are above 3500, the rush finally takes over. Something's gotta be wrong, because I've driven a lot of other cars, and this feels ridiculous for 190 hp/190 torque...I'd appreciate it if anyone knows why my black max starts so SLOW...

did you look at tranny fluid, maybe tranny is slipping, give it a tune up, people who give tune ups add about 5 extra hp due to loss of hp when car is not maintained. leave the OD button off too! this will raise the RPM.

Jrodder you may need to clean your throttle body. First start with a tune up and the small things like, air filter, gas filter, spark plugs etc....
