1994 gti no start

Hello
1994 gti no start
turn key and nothing
battery ok
can be push started
no power from ignition switch to starter but relays click under dash
any problems with starter lockout switch in clutch pedal

there is no starter lockout switch in the clutch pedal, in a 1994 GTI.

not sure if this helps,but i know that the ignition system on the 94 had a recall on it.i brought my car in to the dealer (<--vw thats is)and they changed a bunch of recall parts for me.
