My 1994 villager would not so much as click when I went to start it yesterday evening (in a grocery store parking lot with kids in tow I might add). This morning, I went to examine it, and it started immediately. After getting it home, It started again and again as I tested it, letting it run for a few minutes. Later, It had no response again. I continue to maintain full battery power and function of all electronic accessories. IS it the starter, or is there a simpler solution that I can try?

Re: 1994 no starter action, then later starts fine
A loose positive wire from the battery to starter will cause this symptom. on the tow home it made contact again so you could start it again and again till it got loose again.
Check for loose battery connection or starter wire.
