I got in my car today and the whole floor board from the front to the back was soaking wet. What could have caused this? Thank you.

Re: 1994 grand am help
if you leave the windows down and it rains.. okay seriously now was it water? or antifreze? hopefully just water i'm assuming you have air conditioning if it's just water. the evaporator drain is pluged and now the water removed from the air my the ac found somewhere to go. i'm not 100% sure where the drain is on your car but their usually somewhere near the bottom of the firewall by the hvac box. find it and blow compressed air in it and a whole bunch of water will come pouring out. if it was green or pink stuff(antifreeze) on the floor you have a leaking heater core. good luck

Re: 1994 grand am help
Hes on the right track , make sure after you dry your carpets that every time you shut off the car to put the max ac on to close the vent valve for the intake so water doesnt get in again. It is located in the Bulk Head on the passenger side and is very capable of holding water. Unfortunately the drain is located in the passenger inside the car , floor vent will let the water in and gets carpet underlay wet and creates mildew. Just for shits and giggles try to put your hand under the carpet on passenger side , ittle be soaked i guarantee it. if you dont dry it off soon it will mildew and will never smell the same again. leme know

1994 Grand Am Help (wet floor)
The heater is located behind the center console/dash. if it has rusted through it will leak into your floorboards. Replace the heater core or bypass the inlet/outlet connections on the firewall in the engine compartment!
