Anybody else out there have a '66 Galaxie?I just picked one up,a 500 XL Convertible.Got a 390/4V (315 hp/427 lb.ft),C6 and 3.50 geared 9" Locker. It'll be a while until it's finished, and I've only driven it a little around the block.Anybody out there race one of these deals, and know what it might do?Feels like an easy low 15,but what do I know.....

Nice car

There's something about big convertibles with big engines. Hopefully we will hear from some Galaxie owners out there.

my dad used to have one of those. I've always wanted one myself. I'm not exactly sure what it'll do in the quarter, but I do know that a '66 GT350 does 14.00. so add about 1500 pounds or whatever, and you figure high 14's low 15's is about right. only way to truly know is to take that baby to the track and see what she'll do. have fun with the car.

66 galaxie 500 fastback

I`ve got a 66 2 dr. fastback. She`s got a 390 bored 40 over. I installed most of an edelbrock performer package. (4 barrel carb, aluminum manifold, cam and lifters.) I just changed the rear gears over to 3.50 non locking. I installed moog performance coils all around. She`s quick but i`ve never raced her. I`ve marveled at her highway performance. I`m thrilled by it`s performance on the streets. anyone know where i could find the correct speedo gear for a cruise-o-matic trans. I went from 3.00 to 1 to 3.50.The previous gear was an eighteen tooth i believe.

Mustang Pics

Hey guys,

Maybe someone can help me.. I've been unsuccessful in finding pics of a modified '68 Mustang Fastback (standard or GT version) that has stuff like rear spoiler and louvers.

Can anyone send me some pics/post them here/direct me to a magazine or web site?

THANKS!

Dougie

You guys have got some nice cars. Im really thinking about getting a 67 fastback galaxie. It is one of the nicest galaxies I have seen, although yours is very nice. It does have some dents and dings but nothing much. If I get it I will post some pictures and info. My friends dad is also in the process of restoring a galaxie, not sure what year. My friend is restoring a 64 Mustang too.

The body needs a little work and paint the interior is in good condition except the carpet and a small hole in the seat. it also needs a driver side arm rest does any one know were I can get one looked at Dearborn Classics but they don't have one
