Re: coilover questions...

id hate to burst your bubble, but those arent coilovers.

those are just lowering springs.

if you want reputable, quality springs, you cant go wrong with eibach...your spring rate will change drastically so youll hafta get shocks sometime soon after that. koni and kyb come to mind when thinking of shocks.

Well Technicly they are coilovers... just "Sleeve Coilovers" which get a big thumbs down from me. furthermore any springs that cost less than 150 bucks Suck period.

If your looking for decent springs Try
Tein
Kg/mm(im not sure if they have 240 app though.)
Eibach

Ahem..

Just to agree real quick, those sleeves are sleeves, not coilovers. Coilovers have a threaded strut body for adjustment, usually have removable integral perches and can sometimes be disassembled and rebuilt, and/or revalved.

I run Sprint Springs partially out of spite because everybody says they suck (because they sag), but mostly because they're a higher spring rate and lower drop than other springs in the same price range.

I had Eibach Pro-Kits in my car for like 2 weeks, but took them out for the Sprints again. I couldn't drift for shit with them, they were too soft.

If you want them I'm trying to sell them, I don't think they have more than 1k miles on them. $99 if you want them, cover what ever shipping you want. They have a little silver overspray on them from the customer who had them before me. He only had them for a few weeks, then he bought JIC FLT-A1's from us, and sent them to me.

But yeah, those recommendations above are good springs.

Re: coilover questions...

Hey...

Well I guess for the quick lowering job, the above mentioned "coilovers" will do.

If you really want it to handle good, avoid add-on coilovers like the plague. Well, i shouldn't say that. I would recommend inquiring about spring rates and the such. Guys always run Ground Control at the track, and they seem to hold up well.

I just think you should research as much as possible before jumping into anything.

Hell, i would never add sleeved coils to my car. That's my opinion.

If you are set on getting these then go for it. I never had sleeves, I ran Eibach springs for 6 years before i bought JIC coilovers.

There are many guys on this board that will either say yea or nay regarding these coils, i say nay!

Get some springs...Tanabe is a good new spring out!

Chris
