Wipers relay/timer

Hi,

I've got a problem with the wildshield wipers (Camry 97). The 2nd and 3rd 'speed' (controlled by the stick) options work fine. But the 1st one, with couple of additional options controlled by the ring on the stick doesn't work. Actually the wipers are moving with the 2nd option speed. There is also no sync when I turn it off - wipers stay where they are instead to move down. I would suspect a relay/timer or fuse, but I have no clue where the correspoding box is located (the one under the hood doesn't look like the correct one)...

Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

I'm almost sure that the fuse/relay that you're looking for is located behind the change box on the left side of the driver's kicker panel. Although, then again there could be a relay for the wipers located under the hood. The main relay box is located beside the battery, nearest the fender. There is also a secondary relay box attached to the mounting bracket for the battery. Check all of these places in your vehicle, there should be maps of all the fuses/relays and their locations. If you need any further help, let me know.
