I have a 1988 Caprice Classic and have been having to try to drive without wipers for the past week because there isn't a single person or web site or even a manual that can tell me where the windshield wiper relay is. It had been going out and didn't bother me too much before because all I had to do was remove the fuse but now I have no wipers. My Chilton manual is extremely vague about it as well telling me that it could be located anywhere throughout the car in the various electrical systems. If there is anyone that could tell me where it is located it would make my life much easier. Then I could start thinking about performance for the car rather than maintenance and repairs.

Re: Wiper Relay, Please Help!
It is mounted right on the wiper motor. The wiper motor is under the hood on the the driver's side of the car, mounted on the firewall.
This is one of the few items that I recommend you DO NOT buy an AC-Delco replacement for. This circuit is exposed to weather/water etc from GM. Go to your local parts store and buy the new part. I wish I could remember the brand name that I got when doing mine. The new ones come with a sealed circuit and motor. They will work slightly different that OEM but they will work and LAST. I did mine over 6 years ago and it's still working great. HTHs,
