1997 s 10 windsheild wipers work however no way to control delay and they stop where they want most times. Is there a relay to be replaced and where is it located. Thanks

Re: wiper relay?

Chances are it is the wiper circuit board. They are known for getting moisture in them and then they don't function right.Don't rule out your switch though.

Re: wiper relay?

Try this .

unplug wiper motor. Pull the cover off of wiper motor control.(3 small screws). Remove control circuit board. Use a hairdryer to make sure board is completly dry. Reinstall making sure to reseal cover with a good flexible sealer of some kind. OR, you can just replace with a new one. HELP make one for around $25. OEM part is about $60. 99% chance that this is your problem.

Re: wiper relay?

It is a defective circuit board. Youcan take it out and resolder two or three spots they will look real chalky.
