Camry Key Fob
Hi guys,
The remote key fob of my 1999 camry is not working as a "Remote".. I have to go withing a few feet of my car to get it work. I changed the batteries last week but no use. Today I opened it up fully and found that the latex(or plastic) pad with the Lock, unlock and panic buttons is melting from under the buttons. The buttons are about to fall out. Any idea how can i make it work from a distance and from where can i get the pad without having to replace the fob itself..... thanks |

Re: Camry Key Fob
There is a possibility that you might be able to find a remote button from someone who has a broken laying around somewhere, and it is also possible that there might be something preventing effective transmission between the transmission and reciever. You should take your main box out from your car and check it out and make sure your antenna is not tangled up or anything, or grounding out on anything metal that surrounds it. Be sure to check out everything with the main box inside the car before pinning it down to the transmitter. Be sure to check all connections are secure on the box as well. It also wouldn't hurt to take all of the connectors out, and clean them well with compressed air.
