professional help needed! please help!

i have 94 sub 2wd 5.7/w 4l60e a couple of salvage yards told me 2 different stories. one says i can only get a trans out of 94 truck/sub the other says 93/94 only, another says any off of 4.3 blazer/astro and up into trucks and subs. newer trucks have 2wd and 4l60e RIGHT?n how come i cant use any of these and what is the difference between the 93/94 and the newer 95 and up 4l60e? im trying to find a low mileage newer one if possible. oh what about the 700r can i use one of these? and will it make my check engine light come on if i switch to this? if it makes any difference my sub was built late in 94 could be early model 95 ?

Re: professional help needed! please help!

I thought the 4L60E is a tranaxle on GM cars. My wife's '97 Bonneville has one.
'94 Burb w/350 should have the 700R4.

4l60e is electronically controlled so i'm assuming they changed the solenoids/pcm sometime around 95
