Trailer Wiring - 2003 XE V6
Have a 2003 Xterra XE V6 with a factory installed trailer hitch, with presumably no factory installed wiring module. Is there any easy method of installing a wiring harness?

You should be able to get a harness from a dealer or they can be found on the internet.
Here is an example. http://www.xterraparts.com/Merchant2...de=24167-00001 There should be a wire bundle that is attached to the frame in front of the bumper on the passenger side. Just remove the cover and plug in the trailer harness. |

I have looked at that location, and either I'm blind or dumb because I don't see any wire bundle as in the picture. What is visible is a closed box with 3 sets of wire bundles coming out and the joining together. I'll try and send a picture later. The manual keeps saying that there could be a bundle [if so equipped]. My only guess is that I have a Xterra not so equipped, but then why would Nissan suply a receiver and no wiring harness?
