I was considering purchasing a 2004 Odyssey. We have a 2000lb. Pop Up camper and I was wondering if anyone used there's for towing. I know its rated for 3500lbs. with the optional hitch, but how does it really tow? Open for suggestions!

Re: Towing with an Odyssey?
I don't know how they are for towing, but I highly suggest an external trans cooler.

Re: Towing with an Odyssey?
I have a 2000 odessy and pull a 2100 lb pop up with no problem at all. Plenty of power. I did install a tranny cooler and use an equalizing hitch to take a little wieght off the rear end and it also makes it more stable. I have taken it to both West and East coast the last 2 years and just love it. I can cruise at 65 or 70 on the highway.

I have an 02 Ody with trans. and power steering coolers which I recommend because Honda could avoid paying a warranty claim without them if you tow. I tow a 2,000lb. popup without a problem. I suggest getting at least a class III hitch so you can use a weight equalizing setup because the hitch is already low to the ground and it will avoid bottoming out and gives a more stable ride and handling.
