antenna problem

hey, i'm new, so hi to all you ppl.

My antenna doesn't go all the way up and it makes annoying noises when u turn on the car. is there anyway to get it out and try and unstick it, coz it really is stuck somehow. if someone else has already posted something like this, please post the link.

The plastic coil that retracts and extends the antenna is broken(made out of cheap plastic that wears thin and breaks after a year). You might have to buy a new motor because they only sell the antenna as one whole piece. The installation is fairly simple, the only wire you connect to it is the remote wire that comes out from the HU.

Of course for a simpler fix you can get a universal power antenna(around $40) and just splice some wires together. Or even more simpler, get rid of the power antenna and just hook up a manual antenna.

mine had the same problem, i just cut the power to it, and left it up.
