99 Grand Prix GT please help water in the blower

Hi

Can any one please help, my blower went and when I tried to change it was very rusty from the fan direction
I asked the dealer and he told me it is defenite water going to the blower and he said it will coast me 100$ to just investigate the problem
then c how much will it coast after

Did any one encounter the same problem??
Did you fix it ? I read some messages talking about the unclog the AC drain?? is that might be the reason?? Where can I find this drain

Can you please direct me where exactly I should look?

I really apreciate any help

Thanks

I think i had the same problem. with mine it was rain water getting in b/c of a sealant in the ducting by the firewall i believe cracking. i ended up having the blower and variable speed resistor replaced as well as having the leak resealed. passenger side floor was getting soaked also.

Yooper, i had that problem and never was able to find where the water was coming from. Replaced the resistor but was able to save the blower. It go fixed after the windshield was installed and all the cracks and windshield were sealed. Never tought that was the problem. Replaced the windshied because it was to cracked to repair.

I had this same problem and it WAS the drain for the A/C condenser. It is a little rubber elbow on the firewall midway between the center of the car and passenger fender behind the engine about 1/2 way down. It is tight, but I was able to reach down from the top and grab it, pull it off, and clean it out. Not much water came out UNTIL I poked a hole in the tube that the rubber elbow piece connected to and then at least 1/2 quart of water came out! I used a piece of wire with the end bent over so it wasn't sharp and then cleaned the tube out completely. No problems since!!!

Also GM redisgned the blower motor on certain years for this problem. The new motor comes with a different blower hose, different style motor and a new hush panel.
