Brake Noise when reversing from cold

I've noticed that my brakes squeak whenever i start the car from cold and reverse out of the garage. The noise however goes away soon after.. It's a Mazda Protege with only 450 km on it.

Is it something normal for new cars?? Has anyone experienced it before?

Re: Brake Noise when reversing from cold

yes, it takes at least a good 500 miles before the brakes become fully seated. Now if it continues after 1000 miles it should then be checked to make sure that it is just a normal condition.
