Turbo/Supercharger help!
Hey I have a 1989 Honda Accord LX-i that I want to put something in, I know nothing really about putting this kinda stuff in cars, but I am good enough with cars that I could figure out, I just need to know what I have to put in there that wouldn't be to hard? Let me know, thanks a lot.

Re: Turbo/Supercharger help!
sorry to say this but your motor is a bit old, I'm guessing it has at least 170,000 miles on it.. that's kinda pushing it to put a turbo in it.. about time for a overhaul... just a suggestion to steer away7 from a turbo just yet.. a turbo will just kill your current engine if it has the mile I think it has on it..

Well, since you said you didnt know much about cars, id recommend you surf the forum a few times and learn your car a bit. I would say first you should look into the easy things to put in-- i/h/e ( Intake, exhaust, headers ) If you wanna look good, you can look into lowering springs, body kits, or even an easy mod such as the removal of emblems. Theres a world of things out there open to do, you just need to look.
My 2 cents. |

Re: Turbo/Supercharger help!
I don't think he's looking for I,H,E or any kind appearance stuff right now since the title of the thread is Turbo/Supercharger help! and he is posting in the forced induction forum. If your engine is as old as killah said then it would be best to rebuild before you look into any sort of forced induction. Im not saying it cant or shouldnt be done with an old engine, Im just saying it'll be best to rebuild.
