off-road 2wd vs. 4wd

wow, didn’t even know AF had a RC forum

I’m looking at a nitro Stadium truck for some off-road racing but I cant decide between 2WD and 4WD. Vote and if you have a good reason one way or another let me know.

Also if you have a good idea for a truck let me know, right now I’m really just looking at the HPI Rush or nitro MT

Re: off-road 2wd vs. 4wd

personally im more into on road cars and i like the 4wd for drifting and power sliding also just going hard and i like the 2wd also for the mean skids and burnouts

If you wanna race check if your track even has a 4wd class.

True...check on that first. Personally, I like the 4wd trucks...but there isn't really a class for them in sanctioned racing (unless things have changed). Of course if the demand is great enough, your local track may have a 4wd class for club races.

They do run 4wd's but because there is such a small amount I would be running with everything between the smallest 4wd buggy and the savage 25. Im really looking at Stadium trucks the one thats on my mind right now is the AE RC10T3

Then I would get the stadium truck then. There are plenty to chose from, unlike the few 4wd trucks (technically there are alot of 4wd trucks, but most of them are monster trucks...though they have made a monster truck class).

Re: off-road 2wd vs. 4wd

i would go with 4-wheel drive because they are a little bit easier to control, granted the 2-wheel will be easiy once you get the hang of it.

also i have the nitro MT and its a pretty good truck, i bought for my first truck and if i had to do it all over i would pick the same one....i also have the Savage 21 (25 on the way) but you r wantin stadium so i won't go into those
