STD Hatch Specs

Hi,

As you know I just bought a 1988 Civic Hatch STD with the 4 speed tranny. It is my project car so im the meantime I drive my 90 4G4D.
ANyways, I researched this car and I read it only has 70 hp.
But I poped the hood on my Civic LX Sedan and the engine look almost identical. Is the head different from the DX 92hp engine?
My engien is a D15b1 and the DX has a D15B2 correct?
I am going to do the MPFI swap on the STD and someone told me it will add about 25-30hp because of the multi Port system.
Thanks

Re: STD Hatch Specs

Every thing is the same on the STD and the DX except for the intake manifold the ecu and the tranny. I may have forgot a couple of things.

LOl, not like im gonna do it. But so if every thing is the same on the DX and STD hatch except ECU and manifold. Couldnt I take the DX manifold and ecu and put in the teh STD. and Take the STD manifold and ecu and put it in my sedan? Using the same wiring harnesses?
So I would end up with a hatch with 92hp and a sedan with 70hp lol.

I believe that the throttle bodies are different also.

So can I just take a DX ECu and manifold and just replace all the STD ones? It would just be plug in right?
So I would go from 70hp to the 92hp DX engine?
I may be able to get a DX ecu and manifold for cheap.
Thanks

Yeah but if your gunna go through all of the trouble of switching out for Dx shit you might as well go the x-tra mile and do the MPFI and if your gunna do the MPFI you might as well do a whole motor swap and wire the 2 wires for Vtec also.
