estimated horsepower
ok I'm wondering about the horsepower(estimated) I could get around with an intake(probably AEM cuz I can't find anything better so far, someone tell me if you know one) racing beat streetable header/collector, power pulse pre silencer, and hks hi-power dual exhaust, iridium spark plugs and wires... any estimations? just give a range and that'll be cool
ok now take that and tell me if this would help much, teamfc3s comp fuel pump, hks twin power rotary, hks circle earth system not sure if this will do anything, I figure it'll do something, if nothing else help it run smoother and give better volts from the battery and such, am I right or what? fill me in.

Re: estimated horsepower
Its not going to be as big as you might think... I would be suprised if you top 170 HP, VERY suprised.

ok umm... BS believe me I know my info, and I know thats BS, not to be rude but please, be real please... I mean I know its not gonna give me 200hp or anything, but 180-185 is what I'm looking at from all of it, ofcourse thats not at the wheels but thats harder to figure out so I'm not asking for that, plus the flywheel weight can change that more... too much, but anyways 180 is my guess, 170, please.

Firstly therews no way u can really say and secondly the diff between 170-180hp is jack.
I wouldnt spend that money at all. Take ur engine out, sell it, and put a turbo engine in, cheaper and easier. |

Thats fine, believe what you want. You asked for an HP estimate and I gave you one. IMHO, without standalone, you cant expect much from the N/A motor. Although you did get 160 stock, and my HP estimate may be conservative, I dont think I am that far off. All this seems like a fairly superfluous discussion, since you've already made up your mind on what HP numbers you will see. Sorry if I offended you. Jarrett

Re: estimated horsepower
My brothers GXL with 130K miles on the engine dyno'd at 135RWHP.
It had Racing Beat Header/Presilancer Corksport Catback - K&N intake - S-AFC - Electric Fan to free up some more horsies. It was a 87GXL BTW. I never dyno'd my 89GTU but I had full exhaust and intake as well as electric fan. It "felt" as fast as my TII when it was bone stock.
