Angry 94 Maxima Stereo problem - No Sound !!

I have a 94 maxima with the "Active Speaker System" (which I know nothing about). Last week, I lost all sound while driving. The radio still acts like it is working - shows it has power and a tape acts like it is playing, but there is no sound from any of the 4 speakers. Anyone have an idea what happened to cause this ? The main fuse in the dash fuse box is not blown. Wondering if the "mystery" unit attached to the back deck by the passenger rear speaker may have fritzed or if it is something related to the actual radio / tape unit itself. Thanks for any help there may be. Peace, MJ

Sounds like a wire is loose in the back of your Tape player (CD player what ever you have, your head unit). I had a similar problem local shop charged me $25 to take it out and check it, the repaired it also tool like 30-45 minutes. I don't remember how long I was playing with the subs

do you have the bose system or the regular stock system? the front of the radio and the speaker grilles in the rear will say BOSE, obviously, if its the bose system
