Bought R33 Skyline kit-need painting tips
I have just bought an R33 Skyline GTR kit and am for the first time actually going to paint it, anyway I was just wondering if you guys could give tips on painting, or at least link me to a thread which does just this.

Sand all the molding lines off the body. Finish off with 1200grit paper
Prime the body with 2-3 coats of Tamiya Primer. Leave for 5-6 days Then paint the body with 1 light coat of finish A second about 10 minutes later A third about another 10 minutes later for the last and final coat. Leave for 7-10 days to harden up the paint Polish and wax it.

|
Mould lines: lines left during the process of moulding the body of the model. These are the lines that need not be there...
Primer: usu. a can of paint=like substance, which is used on the plastic before paint is applied. It adheres to plastic really well, thus helping the "main" paint layers stay on the car. Using primer also helps to get rid of slight imperfections... Good luck

the Tamiya Castrol Primera that I *just* received from a guy in Germany is green metallic! Too bad I don't need it like that
