first kit...need paint...pls help

i just got my first tamiya supra kit from ebay... and theres a whole list of paint... so i need a lot... btw should a noobie start off with painting and stuff... because i dont wanna mess this up and i hope painting isnt too hard...i already read all the painting tips... if theres anymore pls help me out

edit: welcome to AF!

the basic colors are black and silver, but if you can get a hold of more, then go ahead and do so. for a first kit there is no need to fully paint it, if your just learning. spray painting needs some getting used to, but it really isn't so hard at all.

at work i use the spray paint at times...but just making sure... i use primer first then coat it like 3 times then add decals then clear cost

yea, that's pretty much it. it would be best if you used laquer with laquer, enamel with enamel, and acrylic with acrylic, otherwise things might get nasty.

i just recieved my paint and on the direction for the tamiya color it says use thinner...is it mandatory to add paint thinner or can i just use the paint from the bottle...and if it is mandatory how much paint thinner do i add? thanx again
