HELP, wiring stuff
ok, I have my 94 civic CX HB that was auto. then I bought a wrecked 5 speed 92 sedan. I put in thew linkage, tranny, clutch, etc to make it a 5 speed. and recently i redid the dash and while it was out I switched the harness that goes from the computer to under the hood on the pass. side and over to under thw steering wheel, and the one that goes from the 2 big plugs right inside the firewall to under the hood on the drivers side and the one that goes under the carpet to the gas tank, e brake and all that crap. I also switched the pedal assemblies. I got it all together and it starts, runs good, but the brake lights dont work, blinkers dont work, tail lights dont work. now I used a test lght and found the blinker wires, the running light wires, and there is one that is always hot, what would that one go to?
the only thing is none of the wires light up the test light when i step on the brakes and know up until the plug im working with the wires are in correct locations cause I got everything electrical related from the sedan to my hatch.the fguse box, under hood fuse bok, all relays, even the guage cluster and dash harness, EVERYTHING electrical in my car is from the other excapt for the one harnes that plugs behind the drivers side panel by the back seat to the lights, I would use the pone from the sedan but it wont work since my inner tails fold down, and the inners on the sedan go up with the trunk. I tried to put a small screwdriver in the harnewss and press the tab to switch lovcations so i dont have to cut/splice. but i vcant do it, anybody know the trick to dpoing this? also can somebody look under your dash to the brake switch if you got a 5thj gen with cruise. is the brake switch plug blue or clear. cut I got a blue one and a clear one that are the same shape, and either could go to that or to a relay on the front of the fuse block. I was going to try my old brake switch but i didnt have cruies so it is only 2 wires and i cant use it. I am not sure if the lights worked in the sedan when i bought it but everything else workked so i am jusdt assuming it did. but I just wanna know that i got the right plug in it, i got the blue in it now.

its only been a day! give me some time. you know, I dont live here, no net @ my house, work til 4, just got my chance to reply and no it wasnt the cig lighter, it was plugged in already. I just thought you were kidding.
it was that no wires were in the right location which i thought, but didnt know how to move them, figured it out thouigh, not only do you have to push down the tap and pull, you have to unsnap a plastic thing from thew outside of the plug as well, now it all works, had to use a wire from old harnes and splice though cuz my new brake wire was one big one and it used to be 2 little spades so I couldnt just relocate those. and about the brake wire not geting hot, a fuse was blown and I didnt think it would be an under hood one, all the ones in the dash one was good, but there was 2 20 amp fuses blown i the under hood one which i replaced and it worked. so j/k but thanks for the idea about the cig.

The next thing I was going to suggest was the 20 amp fuses... every time I install a CD Player - hell I live dangerously I never unhook the battery... I always seem to pop the 20 ampers and not the radio fuse? Oh well
Right back atcha...
