Angry STILL confused on this remote wire stuff.....

hey basicaly im installing an amp, and two subs in a 01 Cavalier right..well everything is ran..except for the remote wire...im using the stock deck to prevent theft, because of the area i live in...

so what im basically asking is...where does the remote wire from the amp go to?...and ive read a couple of these threads, and one says that i can run the remote somewhere besides behind the head units because its a pain to get out...

plz someone help me, im clueless on what to do...

Re: STILL confused on this remote wire stuff.....

Well. The remote wire on the amp basically is just what turns it on and off. If you send 12v to the remote, it will turn on. So basically, i'm not sure about your stock deck, but most newer aftermarket decks have remote wires. When the deck is turned on, it will send the 12v to the amp to turn it on also. If your car has a power anteanna, you should be able to connect it to that. If not, all you need to do is have a switch under your dash somewhere (or where ever you want it) and tap into a power wire somewhere. From the switch, send it to the amp, and presto. Its not really complicated. very easy =D
