Are you looking for a plastic kit?
If you are you're out of luck....

Profil24 make a resin kit, as do Renaissance, but they are the race version of the car.

If you're looking for a road version, UT Models makes a nice diecast of the car (with opening doors).

You're pretty much out of luck.

Also..Studio 27 makes kits of the GTR but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. I have two, the Gulf McLaren GTR and the FINA USA GTR and I was shocked by the poor quality of the kits, esepcially from Studio 27. Not like them.

I'll be leaving for the Le mans 24 H tomorrow morning and I talked to the Profil 24 Owner a few days ago and he has the Mclaren F1 in high detail done but won't launch it.

Cheers

Maisto make the only 1/24 McLaren F1 road car and it is die-cast with opening doors. It is quite good but not as good as a plastic model, the dimensions and wheels are very accurate.

1/24 Mclaren F1

Hi there,

I have Profil24's Mclaren F1 GTR (Gulf) and Studio27's "Lark" decals but I plan to build "West" event car.
As I know, there's no plastic, resin or metal kit of road version of F1.
All kits I know are in resin (Profil24. Renaissance, Studio27) in 1:24 or 1:43.
There are many die cast models in almost all scales (Maisto, UT, Minichamps - 1:12, 1:18, 1:24, 1:43).

The Profil24's model is very good shaped, with engine bay details (opened hood), detailed interior but no doors open.
If there's high detailed - but no launched - version of F1, then I'd like to see it too :o)

Take care,

Arek
