1997 gp a/c problem
yes, i tried to refill a/c and the clutch won't start up, does any one know where the low pressure switch is located to jump the clutch? also if jumping what terminal do i apply the 12 volts to?

Unfortunately, I think, this is not a CCOT system.......
Instead of a low pressure switch on the accumulator, this uses a 3 wire pressure sensor......you can't jump this harness to make it turn the compressor on(the voltage varies from 0-5 volts, depending on the pressure).....you try applying 12 volts to that harness and you may take out a PCM.... Not sure on this year model, but it's possible a code has been set(low pressure), causing the PCM to disable the compressor......if you have enough pressure in the system, you may have to clear the code first.....do you have gages to read the hi and lo sides? |
