Zakspeed Ford Capri, Tamiya 1/24
Hi, the last one with roof for now, next one will be F1 again
![]() It's the old Tamiya kit that used to be offered with motor, easy build, no problems... except for the decals. The kit decals broke apart - not just mine, but also a 2nd set I got from kurtl. So everyone who plans to build that kit should look out for new decals... I got a set by decaldoc.de, it was ok, but not perfect - the red is in real not as saturated as in the photos, the front spoiler and the windscreen decals are not correct in size and there are small flaws in the print - fortunately they can only be seen from up close, so they are acceptable for a slot car or a quick build like this, but I'd like to have better if I do a detailed build. I had no other choice, though, as I wanted to do a black Capri and I don't like Klaus Ludwig ![]() Painted using airbrush with TS14, TS12 (chassis) and zero 1k, the spot on the roof is a raindrop As the helmet decals were not usable I decided to add Heyers famous tyrolean hat instead ![]() hope you like it, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice work but why did you leave a Hershey's Kiss on the roof?

Great build! This Capri and the Mustang version is one of my favorite racers from that era. I have the decals to build both of the Wurth Capris. The only thing missing is the kits. LOL

I believe the hat belongs to the driver Hans.

Beauitful built! You really do justice to the old Tamiya kit! I have to agree with you, this livery is the best looking among other turbo Capris!
