2000 Firebird windows and radio

I have read several posts regarding the windows and radio cutting out intermittently. A few people said they found bad solder joints in the BCM. I just opened the BCM, and with a magnifying glass I found a cracked solder joint at one terminal of the smaller relay. I reheated it to melt the solder and added just a little more. I plugged it in and it still works. Only time will tell if the problem is solved. Looks good so far.

Re: 2000 Firebird windows and radio

I had the same problem with my 1999 Firebird. After a few years of fighting this I found a post here that directed me to this web site. http://www.camarozone.com/how-to-fix...dio-and-locks/ . Gives great step by step directions and pictures. There are 5 points on the BCM to resolder and I haven't had a problem since. If it acts up again, give it a try.
